Spring has always been a time to purge items that are no longer in use or have been sitting around for the past year. Follow these Consignment cleaning steps to consign your items at Consign & Design.
Start: To begin the consigning process at Consign & Design, collect photos of the furniture and upload them here. Items can only be accepted if there are photos included. Provide as many details as possible about the furniture, such as the original price, how old the furniture is and the manufacturer. If the items are accepted, Consign & Design will be in contact to schedule an appointment for drop off. For smaller items and home accessories, drop offs are available without photos needed, however it is asked that these items are packaged. Consign & Design will only accept items that are free of stains, odors, snags and are not faded or soiled.
Approval and Payment Thresholds: Accepted items will be priced based on condition, style, finish, color, original sale price and in some cases, the current retail price. There is a 120 day limit before items are asked to be picked up if they did not sell. Consignors receive 50% of the sale price the first 60 days, 35% of sale price 61-90 days and 25% of the sale price 91-120 days.
Delivery of Item(s) Options: To get items to Consign & Design, a professional 3rd party pickup is available, rates are varied by location and size of the item being delivered. Cost will be provided. From here Consign & Design will take the reins and display items as desirable as possible, with the goal being to sell furniture within the first 60 days!
Payment: Upon the sale of the item, Consign & Design will send the owner of the furniture or items a check available to be picked up on the 30th of the month, the following month of the sale. Visit the following link for full details on how to consign at Consign & Design.
