We are pleased to offer the opportunity to work in the fast paced, fun environment of luxury furniture and home decor. We are a consignment store with many consignors bringing in high-end pieces.
While knowledge of luxury furniture brands and designers is extremely helpful it’s not mandatory as you will learn about brands on the job. You will be assisting customers with choosing great pieces of furniture and home decor for rooms in their homes or for their entire homes.
Being able to work with all kinds of personalities within our staff and with our customers is very important as well as having a sense of fun and enthusiasm for helping others.
A good sense of color coordination and an eye for style are helpful as customers often ask for advice on what pieces go well together and how to mix and match different styles of furniture and decor.
Additionally keeping the store well merchandised with attractive, eye catching displays and filling in gaps when merchandise is sold will also be part of your day to day duties.
You’ll be on your feet working and must be able to lift at least 20 lbs.
You may also have to climb a small ladder to reach items located on shelves, or you may be merchandising a shelving unit. We use a computerized software system at checkout, being comfortable using technology is important. It’s a pretty simple system to learn and use.
Social Media today requires a lot of short videos. We ask that you’re comfortable being in short videos that may include talking, as in doing a small store tour or highlighting new arrivals. If you love this sort of thing we also welcome your abilities and talents to do live selling videos which are all the rage and a great marketing strategy.
